ACCESSING YOUR FINANCIAL PROSPERITY: Introduction 1

Over the ages, the need for man to get himself out of lack and poverty has increased. Many people have worked hard to break out of the clutches of financial ruin and bondage. There is no less truth that;  “money is a defense.”
So many people live their lives in a rat race in the chase for final freedom, but very few out of the lot make it through in one piece. So many more people are confused and anxious about their present financial state and future. There are many more cases of suicides and attempted suicide cases all over the place. Depression is on the increase, families are separated, and marriages collapsing. What really is the problem? Is there solution? Hmmm! The truth is that there are no problems without solutions. The presence of problem is the opportunity to grow.
Have you ever sat down and think in this direction? That in this world we find the Rich and the in the same sphere? That everyone has the opportunity on earth? Then why do we have the Rich and the poor? We are all exposed to the same weather, same market, same natural resources, but yet the gap seems unbridgeable.
Reaching your financial goal is like reaching any other goals in life. People set marital goals, educational, and so on. Every intention we have must follow a direction; which are more like principles or paths that would lead to our desires. Life and its contents thrives on rules. There are physical rules and spiritual rules that govern the financial freedom, and in this series, we shall be looking into some of those principles or rules.

DEFEATING THE ENEMY
1. Know your enemy :
Who is an enemy? An enemy is a person who is against another person with an intent to do harm. He is an adversary with an intention to stop you from reaching your desired goals. The enemy of a man can be humans or spirits. It may also amaze you to know that a man can be his own enemy.
a person who feels hatred for, fosters harmful designs against, or engages in antagonistic activities against another; an adversary or opponent is an enemy.
As Christians, we have one major enemy who is the devil (Satan). He lurks around seeking for whom he may destroy. The Bible calls him the “thief”. The natural or human thief is a physical enemy; a person who has given his soul to the devil as a tool of operation. The scripture says; “if a thief be caught, he shall be made to restore a seven fold. Therefore, efforts must be put to catch the thief.

2Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The one that works against your life is the devil; he resists God’s children from moving into their desired estates. He is the one who forcefully or secretly takes what isn’t his(thief), he is a murderer; seeking to terminate all that belongs to us (killer), his mission is to dismantle the good work of God’s children (destroyer).

John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

1Peter 5:8 says; be sober, which means to be clear-headed, be business-like, be severe, serious, and thoughtful etc. If you must defeat your enemy, you must be anything, but unserious, insensible, etc. Do not take the enemy for a joke. He a foe who does not play around. He means business to up turn the destiny of God’s people. Satan isn’t just our enemy, he is God’s arch-enemy from the beginning. We are always engaged in battles according to the Scriptures. The Bible says; “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph.6:12. Now we really know the kinds of forces we are up against. These are not enemies with physical appearances, rather they are spiritual entities with power.
