DoesThe Present Church Need The Holy Spirit?

I have heard many say something like; the Holy Spirit is not needed these days, His gifts are not for now. They say miracles are things of the past. But with a good look into the Scriptures, we will see vividly the importance of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives today.
The Church of Christ was birthed by the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. He was the promise of the father according to the Word of Jesus Christ in Acts 1:4-5, KJV:And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5:For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Since we can agree that the Church of Christ was established by the promise of the father fulfilled on the day of Pentecost, and the power to be Christ’s witnesses is in outpouring of the Holy Spirit, it is therefore established that the need for the Holy Spirit today; is as important as it was over 2000 years ago. Acts 1:8, KJV:But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The world still need the Word of God, and the relationship with God. The world still need healing and many more. Today’s Church is indeed ripe and ready for yet another Holy Spirit revolution. John 16:7, KJV:Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
We receive salvation through faith in the Son of God and empowerment by the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
